As per our habit, people like to see both the clock format and the job title to track the details. Some government organizations and international transport services use a 24-hour format. Here are the Mac clock setting options that appear in the upper right corner of the menu bar. Most people easily understand the 12-hour AM (meridian) and PM (meridian) format.
To change a 24-hour clock to a 12-hour clock on a Mac
Go to the Apple logo in the top menu Mac> System settings.
Find the Dock and Options menu bar > Select Clock from the menu bar section on the left side of the window.
Now, under Time Options, select Digital Clock Type and check the Show AM / PM checkbox.
This is it. also see a quick preview in the same window in the upper right corner.
To apply the extended time format, follow these steps
Go to the Apple logo in the top menu> System settings.
Open the Language and Region option and uncheck the time format for 24 hours. then click on the Advanced option.
On the Clock tab, select or add a custom 12-hour Mac time format.
So a 12-hour format, 1:00 a.m. to noon and then 1:00 p.m. to midnight. and 24-hour time runs from 00:00 (midnight) to 23:59
The same changes are automatically applied to the Mac screen. which appears on the login screen and on the desktop.
I hope you find a solution to fix Mac not showing 12 hour clock format on Mac.
